Cambridge Architectural Mesh

The project at 1330 7th Street is a perfect example of how a Cambridge Architectural mesh Façade system can be used to meet a Building Re-use credit category. The project was part of a HUB zone upgrade to an existing apartment complex in Washington, DC. By incorporating a Cambridge Architectural mesh façade, re-work of the existing brick façade was kept to a minimum, allowing the majority of the existing façade to be re-used. Incorporating a metal fabric building tension system, as shown in this project, can lower the cost of re-working existing façade and window systems during building design upgrades. Because the material can be building tension mounted, the amount of added support needed for proper installation of an architectural mesh Façade system is significantly lower than traditional products such as architectural louvers, grilles, screens or metal panel façade systems.
